Fall 2021
In my design fundamentals course this fall of 2021, our first project was to create a chocolate packaging with mood, line, and color in mind. The requirements also included realistic elements that chocolate packaging on the shelves would contain such as barcodes, nutrition labels, weight, ingredients, contact information etc.
For my design, I decided to choose chocolate flavored tea because it's unique and gives off a calming and refreshing mood. I named the product, "ChocolaTea," which is a mesh between chocolate and tea. The three tea flavors are Chai, Oolong, and Assam tea. For my design, I first created a mood board that encompassed the mood, color scheme, and text I wanted to portray and use. I found myself creating curvy shapes and blots of neutral color that went very well with the original flavor of Chai. I tweaked the color scheme in accordance with the flavor using the recolor tool in Illustrator. I utilized adobe illustrator through this process and Artios CAD for the structural design. This design was printed on glossy cardstock paper and professionally photographed by myself to show off the physical products.
