Wakanda and the World Comic was an academic project to present an ethical dilemma from a piece of pop culture and visually portray it through any medium of design. I chose the movie Black Panther and the fictional world of Wakanda. The ethical dilemma I chose from the movie was T'Challa's, the main character and King of Wakanda, decisions to open up Wakanda to the world and share its country's source of wealth, Vibranium. Vibranium is a powerful metal that helps power and bring prosperity to Wakanda, but is sheltered from the world as Vibranium in the wrong hands could mean disaster and chaos. I chose to illustrate this dilemma through a quick comic where T'Challa is talking to Nakia, T'Challa's lover, about the weight of his decision and how it can affect the world. Drawn using Procreate.
