Flower Girls
Flower Girls came about with no intention nor expectation. The mission was to let go of artistic ideals and perfection and just draw what felt right. The only guidelines set were a distinct color pallet of red, pink, green, and white and a few concept photos for inspiration. The process began with tulips and natural forms and curves that made a woman and then another. Eventually, little insects and critters were added to provide interaction and personality. The outcome resulted in a detailed, almost chaotic, piece that interestingly juxtaposes the serenity. The title, "Flower Girls," is embedded within as the center identifying the piece as a whole.
